Be the Change You Want to See in the World
As human beings, we look for motivation and inspiration in everything and everyone in our life. Also, with the use of the internet, we can find an inspiring public figure within a search engine. It is as simple as that! However, are we acting like them?
While I was scrolling Facebook, I found one quote that caught me instantly. It was from the spiritual leader Mahatma Gandhi. His quote 'Be the change you want to see in the world' was a wake-up call for me back then. He made me see the world in a different way. He made me realize that the change starts within.
However, the process to go through such transformation isn't an easy ride. Nonetheless, without change, life won't mean a thing. We go through changes in our emotions like anger, happiness, love, etc. So, why does change seem so difficult? I see change as a messy force that can do wonders to us.
Gandhi insisted that if you change yourself first, you will change your world. If you change how you think, you will change how you feel. Thus, the world around you will change. It is a win-win situation. Change is a word which has a significant impact on us. You will see the world through new lenses and feel better towards yourself.
So are you willing to be this change? Are you willing to search within yourself for the power to make it happen? Did you ask yourself today what have you done to become better? Have you made a difference? Have you loved fully? You have the answers to these questions; only you and no one else. Start now and search within yourself.
